Set of Six Brass
Handled Glasses
Carl Auböck II
$1,220
Description:
A set of six glasses with wicker bound brass handles designed by Carl Auböck II, Vienna, circa 1950.
The transparent antique-bottle-green coloured glasses are thick bottomed and thin at the rim. The varying gauge of the glass means the item is very satisfying to use. The heavy bottom makes the piece feel substantial and means contents cannot easily be spilled. Whilst a thinner rim feels nice on the lip and elegant to drink from. The brass wire handles are removable for the purpose of cleaning the glass. Having wicker tightly bound around the part of the handle held by fingers and thumb means a great grip can be achieved. Each piece in the set is in excellent and completely usable condition.
