Polished Brass Table Light

Description:

A petite table light in polished brass, designed and made in Denmark circa 1950.
The head of the light can be manipulated in order to point the light straight-down or at an angle up to 90 degrees from the stem of the lamp.
Despite the lamp being simple and practical, the limited materials used throughout and their nature result in the utilitarian design also being aesthetically pleasing.
The slender size of the light makes it ideal for use on a number of surfaces; by the side of a bed, on a side table in a living room or on a console table in an entrance/hallway.
The patinated and mottled surface of the brass contrasts excellently with the bespoke newly made shade in a textured, off-white cotton-linen fabric. Rewired for the UK using chocolate coloured braided flex and in overall excellent condition.
