“The Egyptian Table”
Mogens Lassen, 1935

Description:

A very rarely seen large version of Mogens Lassen's "Egyptian Table", designed in 1935.
The table is foldable which makes the design not only elegant but superbly practical. The collapsibility of the table is a nod towards campaign furniture as is the raised edge of the table top and the rounded timber & brass fittings used in the base.
Equaling the brilliance of Lassen's design is the construction of this piece executed by master cabinetmaker Rudolf Rasmussen, of Copenhagen. The wood used through the table is a wonderfully rich mahogany.
