Four Teak, Leather & Cane Chairs Carl-Gustav Hiort af Ornäs
A set of six dining chairs designed by Carl-Gustav Hiort af Ornäs and made by Huonekalu Mikko Nupponen Oy of Finland, 1955. All six chairs have solid teak frames, woven cane backs and seats upholstered in a tan coloured leather. The three materials and their finishes work excellently together, all of the materials are natural, original and now share the same warm honey-coloured hue. The amount of each material used in conjunction with how it has been worked has resulted in the chair’s design being brilliantly balanced -the teak, leather and cane have the same visual weight. Each chair is in very good condition.
