Description:
A stoneware table lamp designed by Nils Kähler for Herman A. Kähler Keramik, the family workshop founded by his great grandfather in 1839 and which he, "the young Kahler", took over in 1940 with his brother, Herman Jørgen Kähler, in 1940.
The embossed linear pattern at the neck of the lamp, and the accent of bright turquoise glaze offset by the unglazed stem are all hallmarks of Nils Kähler's designs for his workshop. The underside of the lamp is signed "Nils", stamped "Denmark", and retains its original red Kähler sticker.

The lamp has been fully rewired to with a UK standard plug and white, antique-style electrical cord. The lamp also includes a lightly textured cotton-linen blend lampshade.
