by Carl Auböck
An extremely rare brass and leather wristwatch stand designed and made by Carl Auböck II, Vienna, circa 1950. The main body of the stand is cast from solid brass. A belt of black coloured leather wraps around the waist of the stand. The almost anthropomorphic shape of the stand that leans forward is intended to hold a wristwatch whilst its owner sleeps and/or showers. Clearly stamped with the Werkstätte Carl Auböck signature.
