Povl Wilhelm Wohlert
Danish, 1950s

$2,239

Description:

A teak side table designed by architect and designer Povl Wilhelm Wohlert, known for his work on the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Denmark, and made by master cabinetmaker K. Thomsen.

Gently lifting the tactile rounded edges of the tabletop reveals the playful practicality of this wonderfully versatile side table. On one side, the tabletop is finished in a warm teak, in keeping with the frame of the table. The other side of the tabletop lends itself to entertaining and is finished with a pastel mint formica, a durable surface that allows the side table to seamlessly transition from day-to-night into a drinks table. Additionally, for an evening of entertaining, the tabletop may even be use as a tray to bring items from the kitchen to the living space.
