Concertina Brass Wall Light
Denmark, 1950s
Description
A petite concertina wall light in polished brass, designed and made in Denmark 1950s. The arm of the light can be manipulated in three ways; from the wall bracket the light moves around a 180-degree angle, the arm also extends and retracts thanks to the scissor joints and the head of the lamp can move up and down.
Despite the lamp being super practical, the limited materials used throughout and their nature result in the utilitarian design also being aesthetically pleasing.
The adjustability of this piece makes it an extremely useful light that would work perfectly beside a bed or reading chair. Furthermore, the petite size of the light means it could also be used to zone an area in a thoroughfare.
Complete with a newly made bespoke shade in a textured, off-white, linen-cotton-blend material. Rewired in an antique style braided flex.
