Description:
Fully adjustable solid hardwood desk chair on original castors. Upholstered in a black and grey herringbone wool tweed.
Designed and produced by Atvidabergs in the 1930s, this chair has incredibly strong lines, and is striking from all angles. The mechanics of the chair are visible and incorporate well into the overall design. Particularly lovely is the detail of a fiddle-back transforming to a more rectilinear design on the post of the chair back.
A rare example of Atvidabergs' designs with such beautiful wood colouring, and with extant period appropriate castors.
