An original pair of Organic Modern door handles, designed and made in Finland circa 1930.
Cast in solid bronze, in the simplest terms, the handles are horizontal rectangular shallow dishes.
In harmony with human needs and nature, each line and edge of the design is soft. Helping to reveal the fluidity of their form is the uneven patination speckled across the bronze.
As each push/pull handle is itself symmetrical, the pair are fantastically practical. They can be mounted either side of a door or side by side on double doors.
The backplate of each handle features four holes for fixings. The solidity of the anchoring and the substantial nature of the handles themselves means even after seventy years the door hardware is still perfectly equipped to be used and enjoyed every day for another ninety-plus years.
