Assembly #1 "Everyday Ornament"

May 2026

An evening of food, wine, friends & flowers.

On Thursday 30th April, we welcomed  guests to the first of our new event series “Assembly”.

Dedicated to the art of making and the joy of assembling like-minded individuals, our first “Assembly” was entitled “Everyday Ornament”, an ode to early spring flowers and our artful ceramics by Kasper Würtz.

Small stoneware bowls were prepared with a traditional Japanese flower frog, or kenzan. These simple metal-pronged discs easily elevate any everyday vessel into an ephemeral ornament.

Amidst growing floral displays, a constant flow of  small plates kept our guests inspired and nourished with seasonal flavours of savoury wild garlic and tart dessert of Yorkshire rhubarb.

We can’t wait to share the next chapter of “Assembly” with you.
