Pair of Articulated Wall Lights Italy, 1950s
Description
A pair of impressively large brass wall lights designed and made in Italy circa 1950.
The brass used throughout is lacquered and in immaculate condition. Designed to contrast this are the newly custom-made shades which feature a heavy and highly textured natural oatmeal-coloured linen and brown leather stitching.
There are three thumb lever screws on each lamp, after releasing the tension held in these one can easily manipulate the angle of the arm and shade. The first shortest section of pole can also be rotated meaning the light can shine in almost any direction.
Having five articulated points makes the design not only great for illuminating specific areas but wonderfully sculptural.
Both lamps are newly wired and can be fixed to a wall by two screws.
