Description

Cylindrical pot in brass by the Auböck Werkstatte, Vienna circa 1960.
The outer part of the lid features an effigy of Charles VI, Holy Roman Emperor right profile with the inscription 'CAROLUS VI:D.G.:ROM.IMP.SEMP.AUG:'. The inner part bears another image in low relief which is more difficult to decipher; clearly visible are a man on the right, holding a shield and two ships behind him, in the background.
Impressed with the Auböck stamp underneath.
In overall very good conditions.
