Large Leaf Ashtray Carl Auböck

Description

A vintage leaf shaped ashtray designed and made by Carl Auböck II in 1937.
Although cast in solid brass the design has a lightness and delicacy thanks to the realism of the curves captured in the leaf.
The midrib and blade of the leaf are stylized which contrasts brilliantly with the patination in the bowl that looks like the surface of a natural leaf.
Stamped made in Austria and Auböck to the base.
