Large Rug #2 Sweden 1950s

Description

Handwoven wool rug designed and made in Sweden in the 1950s.

The geometric pattern consists of lines and simple shapes repeated symmetrically; the symmetry is limited to the arrangement of the shapes on the surface and not kept in the colouring.

Royal blue and off-white are used in the background, while delicate pinks, purples, reds and greens fills the elements in the foreground.

Signed Å at the bottom left corner.

In very good condition.
