Pair of Tapestries Marta Måås Fjetterström

Description

A pair of vintage handwoven tapestries from Marta Måås Fjetterström's workshop in Båstad, Sweden, made pre-1941.
Geometric motives like diamonds and triangles - usual in MMF's pieces - recur in this piece, together with elongated and diversely shaped areas, which repeat symmetrically.
The color pattern varies from different tones of green, to pink, white and pale yellow.
Width varies slightly between the two handwoven pieces, one is 84 and the other 87cm wide.
The pair, very rare for size and features, are in excellent condition.
