Pendant Light Paavo Tynell

Description

An idiosyncratic pendant light featuring opaline glass, brass and straw band by Paavo Tynell, Finland, circa 1950.
The interplay between the conical opaline glass and the cylinder shape of the straw band is aesthetically satisfying, sculptural. This combination of materials also produces warm light.
The simple and confident brass abstract flower that tops the glass shade is typical of Tynell. Complete with original brass ceiling rose. Bares manufacturer's, Taito Oy's, mark.
