Pine Cabinet Carl Malmsten

Description

Large cabinet designed and made by Carl Malmsten, Denmark, circa 1950.
The doors are carved and fluted and all the external surfaces boast the evident wood grain, which takes a decorative role as in other pieces by the Swedish architect. The pulls have been replaced with a pair of brass knobs based on - and made with the original cast of - a 1950s design by the Aubock workshop.
The latter are marked with the Werkstatte stamp, the cabinet is signed CM on the underside.
In overall excellent condition.
