Description:

Erik Chabert's "Poem Chair" was designed in the early 1950s. Formed from a strong birch frame with a cane seat; this example is painted in white, allowing the woven rattan detail of the binary zig-zag punctures to be more evident.

The high-backed design is slender and light, aided by the delicate braces below the seat. 

The seat is overall in very good condition.
