Wall Lamp 2484 Josef Frank
Description
A delicate adjustable wall light in polished brass, designed by Josef Frank in the late-1920’s for Haus & Garten, Austria.
In 1933 Frank emigrated to Sweden, where he began working more closely with Svenskt Tenn the company responsible for manufacturing this piece, circa 1950.
The light can be manipulated in three ways; from the wall bracket the light moves around a 180-degree angle, the arm also moves up and down through the wall bracket and the head of the light can be lifted or lowered -to point out or directly down.
The adjustability of this piece makes it an extremely functional light that would be perfect as bedside lamp or reading light. Compete with in-line switch on antique-brown flex cord and a bespoke made shade in natural off-white textured linen and cotton material. Rewired for the UK. In excellent condition.
