Windsor Chair, Model 3250 Børge Mogensen
Description
A vintage Windsor chair, model 3250, designed by Børge Mogensen in 1944 and made by FDB Møbler circa 1950.
The blueprint and name of the chair are taken from the vernacular English design of the same name.
As with a traditional Windsor the legs, joists and uprights of Mogensen's chair are all turned spindles. These connect the back and arm rest, formed from steam bent pieces of wood, with the carved solid wood seat. Beech wood is the only material used in the chair's construction. An original semi-glossy black lacquer covers the entirety of the piece.
A total of 3 chairs are available and each chair is in good vintage condition. All joints remain strong. The chairs only have age related wear to their lacquer finish.
