Meet our Friends:
Studiomama

London based StudioMama is Nina Tolstrup and Jack Mama who are both veterans within the world of design and deeply respected by their peers and clients. Most of their work is based around sustainability and has been for decades. The Fenton House Harp-sit-chord bench and the Offcuts represent two different strands of their practice. The bench made for Fenton House is a commission piece responding to the famous harpsichord in the house, made as a site specific piece in solid materials procured for the project. The Offcuts, animals of all shapes and sizes, are formed from Nina and Jack’s imagination and the left-over pieces of wood in their workshop. Made by the designers themselves they are rough sculptures with lots of unexplainable charm. The bench is made by master craftsmen in London and is a beautifully designed functional piece with a recognisable Studiomama feel.
