Description:
A stoneware table lamp designed by Nils Kähler for Herman A. Kähler Keramik, the family workshop founded by his great grandfather in 1839 and which he, "the young Kahler", took over in 1940 with his brother, Herman Jørgen Kähler, in 1940.
The embossed herringbone pattern on the base of the lamp and bright turquoise glaze offset by an unglazed stem are all hallmarks of Nils Kähler's designs for his workshop. The underside of the lamp is signed "Nils", stamped "Denmark", and retains its original red Kähler sticker.

The lamp has been fully rewired to with a UK standard plug and white, antique-style electrical cord. The lamp also includes a lightly textured cotton-linen blend lampshade.
