Architect Designed
Extendable Oak Table
Denmark, 1950s
Description:
An architect designed, cabinet-made, extendable, oak dining table made in Denmark during the late 1950s- early 1960s.
The graphic contrast between the soft oak and satin-black linoleum surface of this impressively proportioned dining table underscores its deeply functionalist aesthetics. A series of inset metal circles visually balance the three leaves of the table whilst acknowledging its inner construction.
The table is in good vintage condition, with historic wear to the linoleum top.
