Beautifully tactile and seriously eye-catching. This unusual wall hanging, with an offset green square at the centre and a small red and yellow tufted rectangle at the top, is typical of Sørensen's work. Often exploring colour, texture, and form, this work is no exception. With only a few squares, the alternating planes of texture evoke different levels and boundaries. For example, the contrast between the smoothly woven base and densely tufted squares, suggest a tension between uniformity and wildness.
This work is similar to another by Sørensen, entiled "Porten Til" or "The Gate"
