Brass Corkscrew
Carl Auböck

Description

An early cast brass corkscrew designed and made by Carl Auböck II in Vienna, Austria circa. 1950. The corkscrew's form was achieved in one casting, the screw and handle are a continuous piece of brass which gives the design strength and elegance. The ergonomically contoured handle makes the bottle opener both easy and enjoyable to touch and use.
Testament to the tactility of the design is the even patina built up over the years. Stamped Auböck to the front and 9383 to the side.
