Blue Desk Lamp
England, 1930s
Description
A beautifully distinct desk lamp, British, circa 1930.
This directional lamp has a ball joint at the base of the stem, allowing for full maneuverability. This ball joint is mirrored formally at the connection at the neck of the light; this however, is locked in its 90° angle, only able to swivel left and right. The simple brass stem is honest and carries a wonderful patina throughout, acquired through years of careful use.
At the base of the lamp, a patinated heavy metal grounds the lamp in two concentric circles.
This light has been rewired and PAT tested.
