Large Teak Dining Table
Denmark, 1950s
Description:
A large teak dining table with brass feet, made by a master cabinetmaker in Denmark during the late 1940s- early 1950s.
Owing to its size and proportions, it's likely that this table was custom made for a library or study, its expansive tabletop and slightly higher than standard proportions perfectly suited to long reading sessions. However, it's the large size of this monumental teak table that also makes it perfect as a family dining table that could comfortably seat eight.
The table has brass capped feet and a tactile, rounded groove that wraps around the entire perimeter of the table
The table is in excellent vintage condition, with minor scratches to the tabletop which blend into the rich patina of the wood.
