Rounded Cube
Stoneware Vase
Late 20th century.

Description:
A handmade stoneware vase, likely made in Britain in the late 20th Century.

This distinctive vase takes the form of a rounded cube with a narrow neck, its textured surface scattered with delicate flecks of blue. A pool of soft blue glaze artfully gathers around the neck and opening, creating an appealing contrast to the rough clay body. Despite its substantial appearance, the vase is finely thrown with remarkably thin walls, lending the form an light almost supple, organic appearance.

The base bears an incised maker’s mark reading “JH”.
