A large, sculptural, wrought-iron candelabrum. Likely Scandinavian, dating the to early 20th century.
Weapon-like in its sharpness and spareness of construction, yet unconditionally decorative in its approach to shape and line. The design of this futuristic wall candelabrum is almost primordial in its frankness of construction and material honestly.
Despite its weight, the hammered wrought-iron frame of the candelabrum achieves an almost weightless feel. This is, in part, due to the split level nature of the design, with the entire candelabrum sitting away from the wall with the candlesticks at the very front.
The piece is in good vintage condition.
