Sleigh Bed Rud Rasmussen

Description

Vintage sleigh bed by master cabinetmaker Rud Rasmussen, Denmark, 1940s.
Head- and foot-boards are made in solid mahogany as well as the side rails and the four decorative scallops rising from them.
Four large drawers open up on one side of the bed, constituting a large storage space; each of the drawers has two geometric handles made in brass. Both head- and foot-boards are topped by a decorative minimal finial in solid mahogany.
The bed is meant to go against a wall, hence one side is unfinished; on this side it bears a sticker by the manufacturer Rud Rasmussen.
In overall good condition.
