Gourd-Like Ceramic & Rope Table Lamp

Description:
A textured and sculptural, gourd-like, table lamp designed and made in Denmark in the 1950s. The surface of the earthy brown ceramic body is dappled in its entirety. The ceramic material and biomorphic shape of the lamp are emphasised and complimented by a contrasting straw-coloured twine.
Tightly bounding the lower half of the light the bulbous shape of the lamp's silhouette is emphasised even further when illuminated -when light cascades across the horizontal twine.
The light has been sympathetically re-wired using antique-brown coloured fabric flex. whilst the shade is a textured ivory cotton. The light switch is located at the brass bulb holder.
