Description:

A high-backed armchair with weighted neck pillow. Designed and made by master cabinetmaker Jacob Kjær in Denmark during the early-1950s.

Lower backed versions of this armchair were also produced during this period by Kjær, but this high-backed version has a particularly ergonomic enveloping shape with rounded arms and tapered, oak legs.

The armchair has its original, brown and white, wool upholstery and weighted, rope neck pillow. The fabric is in good condition with a small area of discolouration on the inside of the seat.
